June 6, 2013 - SPAWAR-Atlantic Symposium
It's time again for the semi-annual SPAWAR-Atlantic Symposium in New Orleans at the Lindy Boggs Center on June 6, 2013 from 8am - 4pm.
Join the GCGCA as we host the day-long event with representatives from SPAWAR Systems Center Atlantic (SSC Atlantic) including appearances by the SPAWAR Leadership (Commanding Officer, Executive Director and NOLA OIC), the SPAWAR Contracts and Competency Leads, SPAWAR Small Business Programs and other SSC Atlantic representatives

The Symposium will kick-off with the popular Networking Reception at the Bourbon House from 5:30pm - 7:30pm June 5th.

Mar 19, 2013 - SPAWAR Small Business Roundtable Luncheon
Join the GCGCA for the premiere spring event for small businesses interested in doing business with Space and Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR). The GCGCA has partnered with the SPAWAR LANT's Office of Small Business Programs Office to host an informational and networking Small Business Roundtable Luncheon. In addition to the opportunity to engage Small Business Program representatives, participants will have the ability to network with other companies.
SPAWAR LANT designs, acquires, engineers and sustains the sensor connections, cyber network infrastructures and knowledge management services to fulfill its mission of ‘Rapidly deliver and support solutions that enable information dominance for our Naval, Joint, National, and Coalition Warfighters.’ Enhanced systems interoperability and force integration form the central thesis of operations throughout Team SPAWAR.


Apr 11, 2013 - Industry Town Hall for Federal Contractors with Senatorial and Congressional offices of Louisiana delegation
The GCGCA is hosting an Industry Town Hall meeting to be held on Thursday, 11 April, from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M., in the Auditorium on the First Floor of the Lindy Boggs International Conference Center, 2000 Lakeshore Drive, in New Orleans. Senator Vitter, Senator Landrieu, Congressman Scalise and Congressman Richmond have been invited to participate in order to listen to the voice of area Federal Contractors with respect to challenges, obstacles, needs and ideas they face with respect to area Federal Contracts and Agencies.
The Senators, Congressman and their staffs have demonstrated keen interest in and support for the Industry and through this event, will be able to hear firsthand your concerns and ideas for clearing obstacles or enhancing opportunities for growth or improvement, as well as to communicate ongoing and future efforts on their part to assist. The event will be hosted and coordinated by the Gulf Coast Government Contractors Association (GCGCA.org) at no cost to participants. Advance registration is requested and registrants will be accommodated before space limitations possibly allow for sign up at the door.
The Gulf Coast Government Contractors Association (GCGCA.org) is a non-profit organization that is comprised of technology-related companies, academic institutions and individuals from around the Gulf Coast region with the common interest of fostering technology-focused economic development in the region by establishing and maintaining partnerships between industry, academia and government.

The Gulf Coast Government Contractors Association(GCGCA) is pleased to announce the hosting of a SPAWAR Systems Center Atlantic Symposium on Tuesday, December 6, 2011.
This is a once a year Symposium that is not to be missed by the Gulf Coast Federal Agencies and Private Sector Industry Partners.
The Conference will take place at the Lindy Boggs Center, 1st Floor Large Conference Room, UNO Research & Technology Park, 2000 Lakeshore Drive in New Orleans
Please join the GCGCA as we host the day-long event with representatives from SPAWAR Systems Center Atlantic(SSC Atlantic) including appearances by the Technical Director, Chris Miller, the Contracing Officer William Paggi, and the SPAWAR Portfolio Managers and Competency Leads as they discuss the future of SPAWAR Systems Center Atlantic.
Agenda topics will include providing an overview of SPAWAR Atlantic's current mission and vision, an update on SSC LANT's Pillar Contracting Strategy and future business opportunities for the Gulf Coast Region's Government Prime Contractors and Small Businesses.
The GCGCA, in our second year maintains a vision and a charter to build bridges between SSC Atlantic and the Gulf Region in support of the Warfighter and our Government's demands in supporting C4I Engineering, Communications and Networks, Business and Force Solutions, Cyber Programs, and Advanced Research and Development.
As facilitator of the Symposium, the GCGCA continues to work hard to facilitate communication with federal and state agencies, prime contractors and small businesses. The SPAWAR Symposium is the perfect forum to address relevant industry issues, forge new business relationships, and form strategic partnerships for the upcoming years as we continue to facilitate growth in the Government Services Sector throughout the Gulf Coast region.
With the impact of SPAWAR Systems Center Atlantic(SSC Atlantic) reaching national and even global acclaim for supporting the Warfighter, the SPAWAR Symposium is a way for Gulf Coast regional Industry partners to be briefed on existing and emerging needs, as well as a provide a dissemination outlet on how to do business and provide value to SSC Atlantic.

Additional events scheduled around the event will include a GCGCA-hosted reception to be held on December 5th at “Dickie Brennan’s Bourbon House at 144 Bourbon Street in the French Quarter.” from 5:30 - 7:00.  The reception is free to registered members and GCGCA members…$15 to attend the reception as a guest…free to the VIPs..


 

10th Annual Homeland Security Forum

The GCGCA BOD is excited to announce that we have teamed up with the Louisiana Technology Council (LTC) to put on The 10th Annual Homeland Security Forum in Baton Rouge, LA on April 15, 2011.  The event will take place at the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security from 7:30am – 1pm.  To register for the event please go to www.ltc-la.org and select upcoming events.

GCGCA will be hosting a Pre-event Networking Reception the evening of Thursday, April 14 beginning at 5:30pm at the Embassy Suites Hotel – Baton Rouge.   Our keynote speaker will be Jared Smith of the Louisiana Economic Development office. Please register here.

NASA's Stennis Space Center is one of the Gulf South's little understood gems - this gem is focused on advancing technologies and serves as one of the nation's largest federal cities.
The Gulf Coast Government Contractors Association (GCGCA), in conjunction with the Mississippi Enterprise for Technology (MsET) and the Louisiana Technology Transfer Office (LTTO), would like to invite you to join us for NASA Stennis Industry Day. The conference will be a forum for NASA and its current prime contractors to exchange information with others to provide a deeper understand of the many facets of support needed by NASA-SSC. May 4, 2010 - The Louisiana Technology Council (LTC) is  dedicating its Tech Tuesday for GCGCA

In order to address issues facing the Gulf Coast Region Government Contractors, the Gulf Coast Government Contractors Association, or GCGCA, was formed and incorporated as a nonprofit Louisiana Organization.  GCGCA's mission is to be the premier government contractor association across the Gulf Coast Region by fostering industry, academia, and government partnerships which focus on technical economic development and solutions.

The general purpose of the GCGCA is to address issues and opportunities facing the entire gulf coast government technical contracting community. GCGCA will: (1) perform as an advocacy group for the government industry in the gulf coast area, (2) provide liaison with local, state, and federal governmental agencies, elected officials, legislatures, and special groups and committees, (3) take actions to develop or improve the local government community's ability to develop, attract, retain, and more effectively execute business opportunities, and (4) to foster the increased and improved interaction between government contractors for accomplishment of better services to government customers.

GCGCA and LTC will work together to encourage the advancement of technology applications and to improve the long-term competitiveness of the New Orleans economy and the entire gulf coast region.
